I have made a backup of my database on CD-ROM, and after restoring the data on my hard disk, BioNumerics (GelCompar II) produces several errors.
Answer:
When files are backed up to CD-ROM and restored on a computer, they are read-only. BioNumerics can not open and change these files. Before running BioNumerics on a database restored from CD-ROM, select all files of that database, and change the file attributes so that they are not read-only.
