I have a problem with the XML Tools plugin: I was able to export my data, but the subsequent import in a new database failed.
Answer:
If you are working with a non-Western Windows operating system and export data using XML (via File > XML Export > Export selection as XML), the name of the file containing the fingerprint information (Fprint_gelname.XML) can contain non-ASCI characters (e.g. Chinese characters) that are not compatible with XML. This hampers the import of this file. The problem is solved by simply removing the non-ASCI characters from the Fprint filename.
